في مواجهة الهزيمة الوشيكة والموت المؤكد، هل تختار الركض – أو الاستمرار في القتال من أجل عالم محكوم عليه بالفناء؟ عندما تظهر أبراج غامضة في جميع أنحاء العالم، وتُستدعى الوحوش التي تفترس البشرية، لن يكون لمشاة البرج أي خيار آخر، إذ يُمكنهم وحسب اختيار استخدام “حجر الانحدار” للعودة إلى الماضي للحصول على فرصة ثانية، على الرغم من أن هذا القرار يضعهم في بُعدٍ زمنيٍ منفصل إلى الأبد. إلا أن جاي هوان العنيد يرفض هذا الاختيار، ويختار القتال من أجل بعده الزمني الأصلي، فيتعلم أسرارًا مروعة عن البرج على طول الطريق.
